I will be hosting a lobby tonight. I will run races at: Monza, Spa, Matterhorn Dristelen, Big Willow.
6 minute qualy then 6 lap races.
I will start at 8pm EST.

Hey guys, I will be testing again tonight (12-18-2013. After 10:30 pm EST) if anyone wants to join me. I will be running short qualifications followed by races again. These are the tracks for tonight:
Apricot Hill
Circuito di Roma
Fuji
Spa
I will be incorporating some night time driving and rain as well. Please refer to the post I made below with the transmission upgrade. Also, for the series I will be asking drivers to paint their cars. There is no number placement for this car but you can change the base color. Lets try to avoid duplicates as you will be identifiable by your cars color. I'm calling first dibs on "Yas Marina Blue".

Wow, man! That is a good little car. My only beef is with the transmition.
Thanks to Grim, OldRustyBelly and INKaBod who came out and raced with me. We had to change to short tracks because the tranny caused the car to tach out in fifth gear on the longer straight always. I will probably have to install an adjustable transmition to get the car onto any longer tracks. If you could imagine-we ran at Suzuka East and the thing was topping out in fifth on that front straight.
I will post the new build and gear ratio and run these again. Thank you guys.
Argh, my crazy work hours keep getting in the way of my game time. Hopefully I'll be off one of these days so I can get in on one.
Hey guys, I made changes to the transmission. I should probably start a new thread for this but....oh well.
Here's what you need. Purchase the car - '07 Light Car Company - Rocket (paint it, my color is going to be Yas Marina Blue)
Purchase and install the Fully Customizable Dog-Clutch Transmission. Once you've installed the transmission all you need to do is set the Final Drive Ratio to 4.800
Here are the Ratios for the individual gears:
1st = 3.377
2nd = 2.291
3rd = 1.666
4th = 1.278
5th = 1.036
Final Drive = 4.800
There is no option for a 6th speed to be installed on this car but TBH, I'm okay with that. It gives it more of an old school feel. If you try it please let me know. I will be looking to do a series with this car in January.
Ran the car at Monza and Brands GP. It was awesome. Im off to test some more.
Let me know when you plan to run this and I'll get it added to the calendar. Im also thinking this should be in the events subforum. Once you update the OP, I'll get it moved and added to the schedule

Grim, I will most likely run it on the weekends. I want good participation so I have to find a slot to accommodate West, East and Euro. Oh, and my RL schedule. Lots to think about. In the meantime, I will announce test sessions here and anyone is welcomed to join. I think I'll try varying times for the test sessions to see when I get the most people. Set yours up whenever you want and I'll work around it.
so, I tested the Rocket at a few more tracks and it seems to have enough gear now for just about any track accept maybe Le Mans. The long straight at the Nordschleife might be a problem as well. So far I've run it at Big Willow, Daytona 24, Monza, Fuji and Brands GP. Next up are Mount Panorama and Silverstone. I really want to do the Nurburgring 24 course as well.
Anyone know how to get media (pictures/video) off of the PS3? I'd like to do some promo material.

I have been using my phone straped to a chair and thats about it really.
I have the same capability with the ps3 as with the xbox 360 as in I can capture and record video, screen captures, etc. I also can do live broadcasts of races on twitch also.

I love this car.
I'll have to do that. I have to tell you that this Rocket series is going to be challenging but fun. I'm in the track selection process and working out the day/night transition elements as well as the weather change elements. Sprinkle in tire wear and a forced pit stop and you got yourself an immersive series.
Love this car. I took it for a spin round brands hatch for a few laps 30 laps later I was still going just didn't want to stop:)
Did you try it with my tranny set up? The gears are loooong but it makes it work on longer tracks.
