Bungie has finally revealed the last two options for getting into the Halo 3 beta program
(the first one involved registering via www.halo3.com website last month). Those who entered in December will find out sometime this month if they were chosen or not. For those not lucky enough to be picked, there are now two alternatives:
#1. Buy Microsoft Game Studio's Crackdown
#2. Play Halo 2
While the 'buy Crackdown, get in' approach was leaked last week via a scanned magazine ad, the final option seems to be a race to play 3 hours of Halo 2 games & be one of the first 13,333 to register on the halo 3 website after midnight on February 1st.
Its also worth noting that Bungie suggests that *any* copy of Crackdown will unlock the beta, despite earlier indications that the invitation would only be in a limited number of game packages. More details including the exact times and qualifying game types will be released by Bungie in the near future. How many people are willing to stay up very late playing Halo 2 in order to secure a Beta invitation? We there will be guess a lot....Will you?
