So Ghostayame (sp fail) talks with Gandhi about why he went the single load our settings for v1-v3 and talks about why he is going to give a shot to multiple load outs in v4 after the possible upcoming weapon tuning.

Who is this guy Quentin that Ghost keeps talking about?

I get the idea behind what Ghost is saying, but I will be very surprised if it actually turns out the weapons are balanced enough to have 5 reasonably equal loadouts. IF they are able to bring some balance to the force...lolz...then I think this would be great to see and certainly add in some variety.

Still a lot of speculation at this point though, but I really hope these new weapon settings bring some positive changes to H4.

I almost wish there were two roughly equivalent precision weapons and two mildly overpowered-in-some-sense, underpowered-in-another-sense out there.  Choose from the BR or Light Rifle at start , and the DMR and Carbine are pickups on the map, like light power weapons.

I think I agree with what you are saying.  If perfect balance was really the goal then just give everyone the same weapon.  I don't think they need to be perfectly balanced - it would be more interesting if some weapons were better in different roles than others.  Maybe the BR would be better than the DMR at medium to short range and the DMR would be better than the BR at medium to long range.  Or, just give some of them a slight overall advantage and put them on the map as "light power weapons" like you said.

This.

It's competitive play, pick your poison and force the cream to rise to the top.  Multiple loadouts just muddies an already murky picture.

If the BR does receive a slight buff, it will be a single loadout/starting weapon.
