Loss of sound
Hey all I have an issue creeping up. I was in my second lap tonight on the Nuremburg Ring and all of sudden my sound completely cut out. Completely screwed up my shifting.
Anyways going back to the dashboard I still didn't have sound. I changed the TV input over to cable and everything worked fine. Back to the xbox and nothing.
Anyone else ever run into this?
This happens to me on a regular basis!
Often in an online race too., so it completely messes up everything.
I have an HDMI connection, and I have to change channel/input,
then go back to that input and it could be fine for the rest of the night or it could happen again, or I could play for 4 hours or it does not happen at all.
No idea why either?!??
Tried changing everything!
i never had this issue before. I have my xbox connected with hdmi and from the xbox goes an optical cable to my logitech z5500 module. I know playstation got an option to choose whether you want the sound through hdmi or just video and the sounds through optical or any other output/input.
Its possible that the hdmi cable got a issues or that the output on your tv might have a loose fit in contact
Thanks I'll chech the cable and see. Its an HDMI. So far it has happened twice and both times was when I was playing Forza. I was online the other night for a few hours in CoD and it never happened. That left me scratching my head.
thats weird indeed...maybe a glitch in the game since i never had this problem with forza. But like i said i steer the sounds to my logitech module with an optical cable. And sofar never had a drop out of the sounds. But if doesnt happen with other games that it must be an issue within forza or forza disc
Well so far it hasn't happened again.
lets hope it stays that way.
I had a similar loss of sound problem with my Xbox 360 a few months ago. I was not getting any sound via the optical cable that I had running between the Xbox 360 adapter (you know, the little grey adapter thing that plugs into the back of the Xbox 360 for non-HDMI sound connections) and the optical three way splitter I use. I tried changing out the optical cable running from the Xbox to the splitter and that solved the problem. I had a bad cable. I was surprised, but it does happen.
this happened to me last night I believe during a rivals race .It lasted about 5 to 6 seconds.Fine after that .
As long as it holds out til the new xbox's are released. :)
why are you using the adaptor for the optical cable? isnt there a setting that makes you pick where the sounds comes from either through hdmi or optical...i use the optical output of the xbox itself and goes straight to the logitech z5500's headunit
My server Xbox 360, for the center screen, is an old style, "fat" Xbox 360, which lacks a built in digital out like the
Slims have. I could switch them around, but I would have to buy a hard drive for one of the slims and the transfer cable to get the stuff on my main Xbox to one of my slims. Its not worth the $$$.
hmm weird a friend of mine got the same xbox as you and got the optical directly connected without any adaptor
