What we through was a video card ($100), they thought was a Bios chip($60), which they then thought was a Motherboard ($200), then back to it being a videocard ($300 because apparently I was looking at the wrong one online), finally they found the exact problem. The issue…..the BIOS. Not the bios chip, but the actual bit in the Bios developed a glitch.
When they called to tell me it what it was, I asked, is that even possible? He said, “I have no clue, I never saw anything like it before.” But we have it up and running, you can come pick it up anytime.
So, PC fixed for an affordable amount; Check!
WoW Battlechest ready to install; Check!
2 month card; Check!
Updated desktop capable of running WoW at better than 10FPS at the minimum settings; Failsauce!
With the repair being only $60, I may end up getting a part or 2 to start my upgrades to the desktop, they have a motherboard with a PCI-e slot (which my motherboard is currently missing) capable of handling more RAM, better accessories, ect. and best of all, should be compatible with every part I currently have, including the processor, and RAM so I can slowly upgrade everything piece by piece. Have I mentioned how awesome this computer shop is? Just another quick shout out to them www.gomaxpc.com and as a blogger I guess I have to say that they arent' giving me anything to say that they are awesome.
