Shared on Mon, 05/24/2010 - 12:129 gallons of paint and we’re still not finished. We still have to put the final coat on 2 rooms, but after that we are finished painting the basement. I was skeptical over spending $33 per gallon for the good Behr Premium Plus Ultra Paint + primer but holy crap, that stuff works! Thick covering, and I love the rich colors…..but one thing we learned, it does not stick to ceiling primer, just some light painters tape was enough to peel a large section of it off the wall (but only where it was covering the off brand primer)….but holy crap it’s expensive!!! (and burns like hell when you drip it in your eye.)
So, after painting the ceiling my back is killing me, after running around painting the walls, my feet are killing me, after fighting with an 18” roller my arms are killing me…..and after tightly gripping the 360 controller while playing Alan Wake, my hands are killing me. All I need to do is find some way of working my abs and I’ll have the whole package…..
Alan Wake is AWESOME!!! Most of its awesomeness comes from the story and how there are parts of the game that blend well, you see things later in the game that were discussed earlier (the aging rock gods are a recurring theme) and hear about things that are shown later (but you have to pay attention to notice them.)
Gadget time….I just ordered two FitBits. They are like a pedometer but it tracks everything (including your sleep patterns) and uploads them to Fitbit.com so you can compare leader boards, personal bests, personal goals, ect. I hope this will match up with my competitave need (like the one that has me playing hours of Game Room trying to get my name back on my o wn cabinet leader boards.) The problem is that by ordering them now, there’s a chance I will get them by mid to late next month….they are popular little gadgets, I hope they are worth the wait. Anyone have/use one of these?
