Twinkies and Sweet Deals

I feel like such a tool, all those times I got annoyed with Amazon for pushing Amazon Primeon me every time I ordered ANYTHING. Well, after a talk with ATC_1982 I finally decided to say screw Gamestop, I’m going to start getting my new releases online. 

So I said yes, I joined Amazon Prime….and I’m hooked. I only ordered a few things, like a new 360 controller (since mine thinks it’s whole job is to make Master Chief run in counter clockwise circles regardless of what button I push)   preordered Alan Wake, (planning on preordering everything else once the release day shipping option is there) and ordered a kettlebell, weights,and a some of yesterday’s lightning deals….Yesterday we received the Kettlebell (after one day), the other stuff arrived today (about 10 min ago) along with everything I ordered yesterday….this 2 day free shipping (that actually arrives in one) thing is AWESOME! Thanks to the no minimum for free shipping, I can order small lightning deals without having to fill out the rest of the order or having to pay shipping. Thank you Amazon, you have catered to my complete lack of patience….now if only I could order all my groceries from you, I would never have to set foot in a store again.

 

In other news, I still hate my job, I still get no satisfaction or challenge out of it, and though I don’t have any legally admissible proof, I did learn what (and who) has been holding me back from promotion…..I heard from someone (reliable) who heard from someone (very reliable but unwilling to testify to it), who heard from my Director that I “may have the Knowledge and Experience,  (I’m) not old enough for anyone to consider (me) knowledgeable or experienced”. Now if I could only get that from her in writing, I may have a case…. Until then it is hearsay and will only get me further onto their bad side.
