Anyway, on Friday, we left the kids with the Hammy's and enjoyed a night out alone. I took the wife to the Rock Bass Grill in Lemoyne. Other than having to sit in the bar/cocktail area, the dinner was good. Chris started with the calamari and I had the French Onion soup in a bread bowl. For the main course, Chris had the grilled tuna and I had the New York Strip (I don't really eat seafood). The surprise of the meal was the risotto. It is offered as a side dish and was honestly the best I ever had, in my limited risotto experience. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. All in all, it was a good meal and I would return and recommend it to anyone looking for a good seafood meal.
This weekend at the PA Renaissance Faire was Scottish and Irish weekend. I worked both days at Mad Tom's Wreck Room and we had a good weekend. Saturday drew a decent crowd even though there was rain most of the day. The forecast called for a chance of showers all day, but they guessed wrong. The Sunday crowd was great and bigger than Saturday. I think the weather helped with that, too. I have been getting better with my character and crowd interaction as the weeks have gone by and this weekend was the best so far. I even went into the crowd and pulled a few people up. This really is more fun than I expected, and I thought it would be a lot of fun.
Now it's Monday, and I'm back looking for full time work and preparing for my next session of online classes. I just talked to Jake and it looks like we may shoot sporting clays on Friday. At least I shouldn't be as rusty as I was a couple weeks ago.
That's it for now. Perhaps there will be more later.
