First off, I was not award tha the GOW Comic Series was going to continue past Issue # 6. That last issue wrapped up the story of Jax and Jacinto very nicely and it seemed all the Gears Comic Goodness was behind us. However, during my weekly trip to the comic book shop, I came across this - Gears of War Issue # 7.
As soon as I saw this cover I was like "Hells Yeah!". We finally get to learn what happend to Tai Kaliso after Dizzy left him face to face with the Locust Hunter. We also get a little more background on Tai's origins with the Tribes of Irohima Island during the Pendulum Wars.
As you can see, the art style of this issue is even more "In Your Face" than previous issues and even goes beyond the gory details exhibited by the gameplay of Gears 2.
Without a doubt, Issue #7 is the best of the series so far and has me hoping that subsequent issues with fill us in on what the hell happened to Mataki after Aspho Fields.
More Comics - The Warriors Issue # 2
Issue # 2 of The Warriors finally came out this week. Once again the artwork by Chris Dibari brings back found memories of the movies that we all know and love. I spoke with Chris via Twitter this week and he told me that if I liked Issue # 2, then "Just wait for Issue #3. The Baseball Furies make thier appearance." I can't wait!
Even More Comics - Gears of War Comics Finally Shipping Today
Yeah, I know, I am slack. I have been promising for several weeks to ship out the GOW Comic collections that folks either won or bought from me. Well, they are all finally boxed up and ready to go to the PO today. I give everyone my word, these will go out today. I plan to go see the new Terminator movies this afternoon and told myself, no mail, no movie. So you can rest assured, these WILL go out today.
Finally - A Sunset
I went out fishing in my kayak again last night and though I did not catch any fish big enough for the grill, I did get some damn fine photos of the sunset. This is why I love kayaking so much.
