Still here, just not really...

When it rains, it pours.  And that is figuratively and well seeing as how we got over 2 inches of rain yesterday, you get the picture.  There is nothing like living spring in the midwest where you can wake up in a tornado watch and then eat dinner watching the buggers start popping to the ground around you.  And in the midst of the day, you can get beautiful breaks in the clouds for the sun to shine and illuminate the green popping in the trees and blanketing the ground.  It wasn't just last week that the green was just an aura around the trees giving a glimpse into what will be.

My sister lives in Colorado where they are still getting snow.  I say, they can have it.  I don't mind the volatile weather, it keeps things lively.  Yes, I have lived through some of the worst.  Thankfully, we came through it with possessions intact, to some extent.  I don't have a fear of tornados, just a healthy respect for them.  They are exciting...devastating, but exciting.  I see it as equivalent to living on the coastline during hurricane season.  You know the danger and accept it otherwise, you move.  But, it doesn't matter where you go, there is some type of threat.  Coastline=hurricane

Midwest=tornadoes, wildfires, flooding, drought

Northern states=blizzards (North Dakota=flooding)

Mountain region=blizzards and falling rock :), mudslides.

West coast=earthquakes, mudslides

etc, etc.  I'm sure many of you can add your region and specific threat.  I'm sure I missed quite a few.

So, where have I been?  Interesting you should ask (even if you didn't).  As soon as I finished my graduate course work, my bosses thought I needed to catch up and do some work.  So, I have been traveling almost nonstop the last few months.  I was hoping to get to get some gaming in.  No such luck.  I fear I will be on the road until the end of summer, if I'm lucky.

Keep on Go!

Dastard.....LMKO! Good to see ya' back again. Hope all your trips go well. Florida, we get hurricanes which can lead to tornados, droughts which lead to fires. I have found, in the midwest, it all depends which state you live in. Springtime in the midwest are filled with wind, but the lime green color and flowering trees of springtime are a pleasure to eyes and nose. Minnesota: their state bird is the mosquito...lol But they have beautiful autumns and they know how to play in the winter. Oh, Ohio has some of the best springs I've ever seen. NY autumns are a wonderful sight to behold, but their winter is dark, gloomy and dirty. I'm rambling..... Enjoy the springtime weather. = )
