LAN Update

I have been working with doodirock and the other staff here at 2old2play to build up some programming for the Chicago LAN. So far we have been reaching out to various industry groups and companies and have received some interest. We may even have some representatives from other online gaming communities joining us at this event. The International Classic Video Game Tournament

I have been speaking wtih Gary Vincent of the American Classic Arcade Museum located at Funspot in Wiers Beach, NH ( www.classicarcademuseum.org/) about covering this annual competition of classic video games enthusiast coming in May. If anyone has seen the movie The King of Kong, Funspot and the ACAM were both prominently featured in this film. My plans are to interivew Gary and Funspots Founder, Bob Lawton, about the history of this amazing collection of classic coin-op arcade games and then cover the four-day tournament in May. Digital Memories Issue # 2

I would like to thank everyone for the great response that I have received on the inaugural Issue of my new retro-gaming colum Digital Memories (www.2old2play.com/News/Digital_Memories___Looking_in_the_Rear_View_Mirror_to_See_the_Future). Issue # 2 is running behind schedule, but rest assured, I am working on it. With preparations for the LAN getting underway and my hectic work schedule, it has been difficult to sit down and finish the next article, which will be the first of of a two-part mini-series covering my personal collection of classic home consoles and games. I may have been a little over-ambitious with my original plans to produce a new issue of DM every two weeks and am considering making this a monthly colum. Let me know what you think. My delay may be used to your advantage as I will be leaving the drawing for the Atari 7800 Video Game System and 14 games open until Issue # 2 is posted.
