Shared on Tue, 03/24/2009 - 08:01Today I learn my fate. At 11:00 my section will be going to a meeting with the highest levels of the organization. To learn where/if we will fit into the reorganization and combining of 6 offices. The I would put the chances at 30% I get demoted, 30% I stay where I am, 35% I get promoted, and 5% I get laid off…why the greater chance I get promoted….lets just say there are a few factors working in my favor…
But this meeting where all this will occur is disguised as an “informational meeting” where they will give us specifics on this reorganization…but much, much more is under the surface….
Now the funny part. It wasn’t hard to put together the information I had and my wife had to come to this conclusion…so I’m am dressed in my best suit, best shoes, lucky watch…the works….my co workers are wearing Blue Jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts….and one is wearing flannel….if you were called into a meeting where they can choose to fire you or promote you, would you even bother taking your jeans out of the drawer that day? I think I have an unfair advantage here….and I like it!
it looks like aton of people looked at my last blog, but was it too long? did anyone read it? or did it just suck?
