Scary news

For those who don’t know, my father counted the day he bought me my first NES as the biggest mistake of his life…this Christmas was a major step in them accepting our lives as gamers when they bought us 2 Tritton headsets…well, last night we were over for supper and at about 7:00 pm, hell froze over. Somehow the discussion of what we decided to do with our 3rd 360 came up….and my dad’s exact words “I wouldn’t mind seeing what that stuff is all about” since they seem to cancel every TV show he follows, it doesn’t surprise me that he’s looking for something to keep himself entertained lat at night. So….we will be setting up a 360 for him to “look at”.

 

Now, my first thought is that I want to make sure it has Sudoku, maybe a poker game, Crosswords, and maybe Interpol….now I don’t think they would get much into the action games, but I’m tempted to show him something like a Tom Clancy game, and possibly a FPS, but it would have to have a good plot and an actual application to real life discussions (and be able to save at any point since he’s not the type who would play for hours on end just to reach a checkpoint)…so I’m thinking about Bioshock, or possibly a COD game.…now it may be a bit before he gets beyond the Sudoku game, but it is a starting point….he will never be a hardcore gamer, I know that, but if he understands what gaming is, and why we do it, it may make our (mine and my wife’s) lives a lot easier….

 

now, the only issue….our new 360 has been held up at the Philadelphia post office for the past 6 days without any explination…now I have only ever lost 4 pieces of mail, all 4 went through the Philadelphia post office before they disappeared, so, if someone decided to walk off with it, I will freak out! (and no the shipper did not insure it) I already don’t like that city, or any of the people I know who came from there….this will be the final straw that has me writing up a petition to have the entire city given to New Jersey…let them deal with it….

 

--If you are a gamer from Philly, sorry for the mean comments…if you are a gamer from New Jersey, sorry for trying to pawn a useless city like Philly off on you, but I’ll tell you what (*putting on the most cheesy/evil used car salesman smile I can*) we’ll throw in Chester county to make up for it…
