would I be racist if I said I hate pigmy’s? not exactly midgets....but just anyone under 4' tall...they are like little full grown children (I guess that doesn't make much sense but I'll go with it anyway)...maybe that stems from my fears babies and children....which stems from my germ-a- phobic nature....which stems from me working in a tiny little sanitary box ALL DAY LONG!!...but really is that racism? or stereotyping? Or just….I don’t know….but really….

That was a crappy lead in, but I’ll take it…..
I admit to stereotyping….why? because for some reason most stereotypes fight to fit there….the gang-banger will try to buy a Cadillac and wear tons of gold with his pants falling down trying to intimidate everyone around them....the Yuppie will try to buy a BMW or Volvo while pouring themselves into ther job to try to be the "Next big thing"…even me….I dress punk as much as I can, listen to punk music, and always get ticked off when people try to identify with me who shouldn’t even try to figure me out, I hate posers, and don’t like figures of authority who try to control me….but we own a house in the suburbs, drive a Hyundai SUV, graduated from a Big 10 school, are accountants, Republicans, and work for the government….sounds more like a yuppie to me….but I am Punk…
now pick a societal view of a stereotypical gamer….now look at yourself….do you fit? Yes? No? maybe a little?....
my guess is you don’t fit at all…none of us do because while we all fit into our stereotypes they don’t define us…and yet we don’t belong where we want to…where am I going with this? if I knew then I wouldn’t have given myself such a massive headache writing it ….and I ran out of aspirin yesterday. …..owwwww.

if that's the case neither are the Ramones, Mindless Self Indulgence, or Greenday.... what punk owns a million dollar house and seld out to a record company. We have to survive too, and I'm not going to sell everything to go live in a half way house so I can write songs about having nothing.

I think we outgrow our stereotypes. By looking at me you could pick out very few things I am into by how I dress or what I drive. Camo pants with a tshirt, unless I am work and I drive an 8 year old minivan. I could afford to buy something new. It's paid for, runs good, and I don't care anymore how cool I look driving down the road because I finally figured out no one else cares. I quit trying to fit into a particular mold long ago. I see it daily in my high school classes. They are trying to figure out where they belong. I no longer try to belong. Maybe I am weird. That's my take on it.

Punk is what you do, not what you wanna be. You're as Punk as my grandma...... The way you describe it, you're a Punk groupie. You might talk the talk, but you ain't walking the walk.....
