ill give a update on DeadSpace. my progress has come to a screeching hault..im stuck on Chapter:4 i believe its towards the end where you talk to Hammon, take a stroll across the surface of the ship hiding behind bulkheads before you get blown off the ship. you eventually go into a room, sit in a chair and suddenly a huge window opens up infront of you (kinda cool) and you find yourself playing a cross between missile command and asteroids!

the "dont get cocky kid" achievment for beating the asteroids part above 50% shield integrity isnt going to be easy...

^ive played that damn part dozens of times and the best i could do was around 40%shield integrity, ive given up (for this playthrough), and might try getting it in the next one (if there is a next one). however its only the begining of the next level (5th level) and its already proven itself entertaining, i got to throw a exploding tank at a monster that was birthing out blobs with tenticles, and i got to fight then run away from a test tube monster...i just wished i didnt have to take the L-train to each level its getting redundent.

alright well since i can edit my blogs at any time, im probably going to use this perticular one to post the entertaining moments within the game...now excuse me while i eat my peanut butter and bannana sanwich...

chapter 6 environmental hazard: this levels a little redundent (towards the begining) with having to hunt down and kill all the weezer thingies (the monster/men that were giving off the hazardous gas), but i did like the M.C. Escher puzzles you had to go through to get to a few of them, perticularly the last 1 which took me a good 20min to figure out, but its the ending of the level that i thought was great! thats right the leviathan level within the circular room with no gravity, while i was fighting the boss jwbeck and cormac (deathreign) felt the need to start sending me voice messages lol they got me killed the 1st time i played the boss.

chapter 7 into the void:the large elevator that you have to go down, then back up, then to the middle is big enough to get in a few fights, and lo' and behold what happens..you get attacked each of the times you use the elevator (and you have to use it several times throughout this level)..then you have to do some ship maintanace by cleaning up asteroids (throwing them by using the tractor beam thing) into the "gravity stream depositor" ( i entertained myself by tossing the dead guys at each other), and flip the switch to restore gravity after your done. after this you follow the bread crumb trail (right thumbstick in)..then you get to save Nicole from necros trying to attack her from across the platform which was entertaining. then you find the SOS becon and have to take it to a huge room thats holding a asteroid in place with gravity tethers, i attempted to jump on the asteroid and "plant" the becon but kept getting crushed by bars that were rotating around it..havent figured this part out yet but it looks great.

tomorrow i dont work (working 12hr days, 12x4=48hr a week) so im going to try and spend a good part of tomorrow playing and hopefully beating this game! i still havent played the Resident Evil5 demo and i know..i know...everyone hates it because you cant move and shoot at the same time..but its a co-op survival horror and im really hoping that i like it so that i can play a c00perative game as stupid as it sounds i have a really hard time finishing single player campagins.

another side note, im really kicking myself in the ass because i thought i saved a file in DeadSpace on the asteroids level (the level where you sit in the gunchair and shoot asteroids coming towards you to get the dont get cocky kid achievment for having 51% shield capacity), well i didnt i accidently over wrote it...

quick run-through..

chapter10:the gravity basketball was so stupid i didnt even bother with the achievment, it was a huge waste of time. infemous sleep blockB was the best part of this chapter, having to find the little card thingy while having no oxygen, how the rooms were overly lite..and the part where you play sokoban with bunkbeds and you inadvertently trap yourself into a space with the hunter (immortal monster) cut off its damn feet and stasis the hell out of it while moving bunkbeds around, this part was good for a laugh.you finally get rid of it a little further into the chapter when you turn on the engines to (test fire them), and you stasis, cut off its feet and behind the ship watch it go up in flames was funny.

chapter11: the 1st part of this chapter is alot like chapter12, which is moving the marker around to different lifts with kenesis so that you can load it onto the ship and take it to the surface of the planet. on this chapter i missed the ping (statue) achievment cause i thought it was somewhere else..then after the shuttles been docked (which was pretty cool watching it fly into the hanger) you get to do some zero-g moving the marker with kenesis..you jump into the ship with Nicole and go to the planet surface.

chapter12:more loading the marker onto platforms and moving it around with kenesis, on this level it has timed puzzles where you have to pull bridges up while moving the marker around with kenesis while your getting attacked by monsters, nothing special this is rinse and repeated i think 3 or 4 different times. about the middle of this chapter theres a round door guarded by two guardians on each side, kill 'em go through the door and you find yourself going through a circular room with huge fans at random intervals at the end of the tunnel you restore power which turns the power on. this was my 2nd favorite part of this chapter..go out the door and get ready for the last brute battle.continue moving the marker around with kenesis (yawn).after you finally get the damn marker where its supposed to be then you get to listen to Nicole give you some intresting information..then you go through a door to the very last boss battle which was fantastic and well worth the kinda boring chapter.

im so damn happy that i finished this game, it was well worth a buy.

Yeah, that spot in the game took the most replays of any other for me to finish.
