That was a load of fun, and despite missing the first dive site in the first dungeon…I ended up following a few floating little orbs around town, played with the blacksmith (level 4 at the moment) and bought a few small shops and 2 houses. But the big thing I did….I played with my new (in game) best friend, Chuck. Yes, I named my dog Chuck, because of the stories my wife told me about her being young and trying to decide what she would name a dog if she was ever allowed to get one….but that’s a story for her to tell. MY dog, however digs up treasure, finds treasure chests and eats giant beetles(well I guess real dogs do this too, but it’s more entertaining, and much less gross when mine does it). I ended up playing fetch and teaching him tricks to impress the local town folk…he even dances when I play music. One of the more interesting abilities of my virtual pooch is that he gets scared, happy, worried, and is overall just very expressive, and it doesn’t even require some little happy face to float over him, my little companion has amazingly complex facial expressions and body language. Overall I give Lions Head a MASSIVE thumbs up for giving an in-game companion that anyone can truly get behind, and treat as a true friend throughout the game (P.S. if Chuck dies as part of the story line in this game I will probably end up crying, and have a blog saying how much I hate this game and will never play it again.)
