Shared on Sun, 03/02/2008 - 18:35With all the hardware issues that the Xbox 360 had it was no surprise when I powered my 2 year old console on this morning to emtpiness. The video card just decided to stop working, no output in HD and nothing but white lines and dots in standard def.
Sad, but true. I went and bought the 360 Arcade Bundle for 279.99 which was enough to replace the core box with a brand new one, and, surprise this one worked right when I powered it on. Odd, the CDROM is now white instead of that silver color that the classic one had.
It was bound to happen with something like 40%+ failure rate, but I thought I'd get the red rings...apparently I get the only problem that isn't under warranty. Go figure.
