Well, maybe.

After over an hour on hold (off and on) my persistence finally paid off, and I got a MS supervisor who realized that I was getting pissed, and was going to start calling almost everyday to find out where the fuck my coffin was.  (I maintained my temper, but I can put a pretty good edge on my voice when I want to).

I'll be honest.  I hate dealing with the call centers over in India.  And every call I had made to MS was to India.  I don't care that they call themselves "Bob" or "Josh" or whatever American sounding name they are assigned to make us feel more comfortable talking to them, or so we don't butcher their Indian name with our polluted mouths.  It's fucking hard to understand them a lot of the time.  To make matters worse, some of them speak so damn fast, it makes it even tougher.

But, the supervisor I got, was a trooper, (even though he spoke a mile a minute), and made the effort to call the service center and track down the supervisor there who "owned" my account (and hadn't gotten off his lazy American ass to make a phone call to me and tell me what the fuck was up with my shipping coffin.)  He pushed through crap and had the American supervisor figure out what was wrong, and fix it.  Hopefully they did.

I was informed that my original work order got hung up on a systems issue that occurred back in December.  I don't know what happened between now and then, but my work order got lost in limbo or something.  I kept being told that I'd receive a call in either 24-48 hours from a supervisor, or in 3-5 Business Days from a supervisor.  (MS, you better get your scripts in sync!).

So, hopefully, (fingers crossed and all that shit...) I should receive a coffin here fairly quickly.  They figured out what the problem was and resolved it. (Supposedly).  Overnight shipping for the coffin to get here, and supposedly overnight shipping to return my "repaired" Xbox back to me.

And, to reimburse me for my time spent waiting on hold and for a call, they are sending me a new wireless controller for my troubles.  It isn't much, but it is better then nothing.  However, my sister made a good point.  Wireless controller = $50-$60.  1 Year of XBL = $50-$60.  I think I'd rather have a free year of Live.  But, I didn't really have a choice.

Oh well.

We'll see if the coffin comes, or if I'll need to start making calls again.

Here's hoping.
