I packed up my console with visions of playing online, boot camp and the first night of the Silver Fox Brigade (the brain child of TexasTwister for those of us with slow reflexes, read over 40). After a good amount of time on site chat with Zikan and then Dastard, I still can't connect through the wireless connection. I have tried internet sharing and bridging and just can't make it work. So, I am left to play the campaign. Ok, not a bad thing, just not my first choice.
I planned for this situation and brought COD3 so I could finish the last two chapters. I popped that baby in with visions of completing these chapters with ease after running COD4 and multiplayer. Holy bananas, I got ill to my stomach. The constant flashes and jumping around of the screen as a bomb goes off, I had a hard time figuring out where I was and where I needed to go for safety. It didn't help that the first mission I jumped into was driving the jeep. I couldn't remember how to drive the dang thing. It took me at least 10 minutes of dying then voila!, the muscle memory came back. I'm seriously considering NOT finishing this game. Yuck, yuck, blech! I hate leaving this unfinished but after playing COD4, I really don't think I can handle the game play any more. It is slow, the weapons are cumbersome and you can't sprint, no matter how hard or long you click the right stick.
Well, it's early and I need to get ready for my meetings today. Got to stretch the old muscles to get mobile.
Would you Rather
Be hit in the face with a baseball-sized water balloon full of blue water-based paint
Or
Wake up with a 4-piece wad of bubble gum stuck in your hair?
Keep on Go!
