Work Sucks

So i have been getting really kinda fed up at work lately , with all the big box corporation bs. Why cant i just go in and do my job get paid for what i do and then go home to my family? No thats not good enough for them they want me to feel like im back in High School with all the BS Drama that went along with High School, rumors, back stabbing, ect. I Really like what i do when i actually get to do my job. I do Home Theater Installation for a big box store. It really is a dream job on most aspects. I go into someones house put up thousands in product often into the 10's of 100's of thousands a day, week. So i get paid to play with high tech gizmos. Itis just the Big Box store crap that makes me hate my job. Its even hard to explain but i will try. I have 5 bosses all with contradicting expectations that almost all have no clue what it takes to do most of what i do on a daily basis. Its a constant battle of the inventory i keep on my truck, I am about the 5th person to handle my product and the 4 before me are normally a wharehouse person who has probably only been there for a month because the one before him got caught steeling because thats what happens often in my store, but yet they still want to bitch at me for my stuff not being there. If they want to do that sure but im the only 1 to touch my stuff. put it in a locked container for me to open only then i can verify if everything was shipped that was supposed to. Then you can yell at me if something is still not there, but thats too much common sence. I have to go to store meetings that have nothing to do with what i do, why do i care about about the new gift card box that is available for fathers day, or how we are going to wrap presents if people buy our wrapping paper. When was the last time i sold a gift card....... hmmm 5 years ago when i worked in the store.

So with that being said i finally decided im going to do what i have enjoyed im my spare time for the last 8 years. Build websites, im going to start learning all the languages, database software ect to build a business around helping customers not just how much money i can make by bending a customer over backward because i can. What happened to people helping people? I know you still need to make money thats why its not going to be free, Im just going to make sure they get what they pay for not just some half ass job so i can claim to have done everything that i could to make their dreams come true. I have been thinking of a great idea for a few years on a site that im looking at building once i know all that is needed to make that site. I dont know how much i am going to do in school seeing how im all self tutored so far and have had great sucess with that, as well as since im working in the box i dont have the best availability for goign to school. I might try to do some online courses but who knows what happens with that because of pre requisits that are for english, math ect that have nothing to do with my business. Dont get me wrong math will oviously play a role in my business but i know how to add subtract and multiply ect. So my first goal is to complete my MySql that i am learning then move onto perl, and php at the same time. maybe with a little .net and .net asp. The only problem is not knowing which is the best language i need, or what are the absolute plus's and minus's to each language. Thats my biggest thing i need to overcome. I need to know what im shooting to learn, becuase i have my goals set already. 3-5 years and i will be running my own web design business, or at least a really big site.:D
