I have a three day weekend, and on Friday my husband and I had our first date night in like 6 months. The plan was to go to dinner and the new Pirates “At Worlds End” movie. We went to Red Lobster, got there at 8:30 on a Friday night and there was no wait! Our food came out in like 15-20 minutes. It was amazing. Once we got done with dinner, we were do full that we opted out of the movie, and picked up “Serenity” instead. We went back home and sat in our big fat bed. We had an amazing time together. It was much needed adult fun time.

On Saturday, my best friend called and invited us to Bellbottoms in Grapevine to celebrate a mutual friends 30th birthday. We got there and I was so excited to find out that Hearsay was playing that night. My best friend and I was sort of groupies for this local band for a while. We went and watched them every time they played at Bellbottoms, which was usually about twice a month. It was good times all night!

This morning we took the kids and our nephew to see SHREK 3. It was a matinee showing so it was early…too early, but we had fun and they enjoyed it. I recommend that if you haven’t seen it….take your kids and goooooooo. You don’t have children? That’s okay, there is enough adult humor to still make it a must see…..

Tonight, my bests friends husband’s band is playing in a battle of the bands at a local hot spot here in Lewisville, Fat Daddy’s Sound Shack. However, we are not 21 years old any more and I just physically party 3 nights in a row any longer. J Age sucks sometimes. Lol…but we are obligated to show up and at least cast our votes. So I will run up there later and vote.

On another note…Serenity was awesome! I love the character that Nathan Fillion plays. This is a must see…but First you have to watch the series “Firefly”. It was only out one season..so it is not a huge investment…pick it up at Target for about $20.00...

Well that is all for the moment, hope everyone has a great memorial day!!!!!

Firefly is one of the largest tragedies in television history IMHO. The fact it didn't get picked up pisses me off to this day. The series (and the follow-up movie) were simply awesome. :) B.
