Quake 4 for 360

I picked up Quake 4 for 360 because it was 50% off at Gamestop. Damn, everything I thought was missing in the Halo 3 beta is in Quake 4. Too bad the game didn't come out later in the 360 life cycle.

Has anyone played Quake 4 multiplayer? It seems to have a party system. The bad thing about Quake 4 is it feels like Quake 2 with better graphics and Quake 3 weapons. It's old and out dated. However, the ability to do what PC gamers are use to, join into a match already in progress, is cool. I think Halo needs a mode like that.

One thing about Quake 4, as with all Quakes, it's pure fps. Nothing fancy. Just shoot at each other.

I am stuck on a soot in single player. i need to open a door. i walked all over, i don't see a switch or anything to blow up. Typical Quake single player... i think multiplayer would be a blast, even the Halo fanboys might tolerate it :)

Ya those crazy maze things sucked. I don't miss that type of stuff in modern day FPS's :)

I put in the quake 2 disc. Hmmm, not sure what it is doing for networking. The slip of paper says it can do system link. However, when running ethereal on my laptop I didn't pick up any broadcast packets when I started a server or looked for a server. Oh yeah, the dashboard doesn't know what the name of the quake 2 disc is :)
