The Adventures of Scary Fox

I thought I might give my creative writing skills some practice and give the technical writing a break today.  A few days ago I found out I had a superhero identity by the name of Scary Fox.  This is my story, beginning with some background.


Devons Angel is a meek and humble woman.  She is part of a gaming family of two stepsons and one husband.  All three are proficient at the first person shooters.  Devon was very intimidated by the games, especially when the boys want to play with her.  Watching them slaughter each other with glee did not seem very fun for her and so she continually declined.  She would try to play but the controllers were foreign and frustrating and she seemed unable to gain the skills necessary for basic game play.

Determined to overcome this deficiency so she could play with her family, she made the decision to learn.  Her first venture was with Halo and she was introduced to Master Chief and Katana.  Her progress was slow and Master Chief was patient and understanding.  Devon's brother, SoupNazzi, recommended that if she wanted to play online, she would be better learning Halo 2.  Because her brother is all knowing and wise, she took his advice and began Halo 2.  Feeling empowered after a few missions and hearing how much fun online play was, she decided to venture online and activated a 48-hour pass.  Alone on this venture, she tried a few training rooms and was horribly decimated time after time.  Sad and disappointed, she called for help.  Hawk and Soup were generous enough to introduce her to some maps and the language.

Once more, before her pass expired, she entered a non-2old2play room and encountered numerous Timmies who preyed upon her Master Chief.  Discouraged and defeated, she was close to giving up when a surge of power traveled through the 360 to her controller.  Shaken, she dropped her controller as a golden aura enveloped her.  Katana had taken pity upon Devon and chose her to teach the Timmies a lesson.  Devon would later learn her new identity was Scary Fox.  Her mission was to team with various game characters to ensure enjoyment of all games online by adults who feel intimidated by Timmies.  Little did she know that a Timmie named Harold the Clever was out to thwart her mission...
