So, for those that bother to read my rants and blogs, you have know that my wife and I started a game retail company called TechDiversions. We also sell other electronics and such. Many 2old2players have bought products from us, as a matter of fact, most of our clients are people from here (thanks so much for helping us get it off the ground).  Anyway...

Our company, over the last week and a half, has had their first "strangers" order from us! Wohoo! As much as we love 2old2play people ordering we know you're doing it to support us, not as a random buyer. A random buyer means we're starting to invoke some level of trust, showing up in search engine results and froogle.google.com.

I really have no idea why "all of a sudden" we're getting orders, granted most are Wii related products and we're trying hard to push them (regardless of crappy margins) we did have someone buy a couple portable DVD players the other day.

We're not nearly out of the red, but it's exciting to see sales pickup and people trust us a bit. Although most are using paypal, probably for the obscurity and anonyminity of it all - but hell who cares!

Anyway, just wanted to boast some excitement - Falelorn's blog reminded me to post something, although I've never had anyone ask if I was a white person before ordering (that's just sad).

Excellent that is good to hear. I know the two (soon to be 3) items I have ordered have been sent quickly and any problems (my Canadian mojo causing bugs) have been rectified quickly.. Emails are quick..

That's great. It's good to see your business growing. I would love a home based business. My wife is a great cook and caterer and I've been trying to get her to start her own business. She's been cooking for a living since she was 16 and before that she did it for her family of 11 (yup, 9 bros/sis and her parents). She has all the skills and is a great go getter. We are hoping to start up sometime this year or by next February. If we do I'll have a website for it. Keep up the good work! (oh crap! I just exposed my self as a reader of this blog. I'll never live it down)

lol, well you really should get her to do it. People that have a talent to do something with such low initial costs have a great chance. For us, we have to deal with buying and selling and making 2 bucks here and there. If you do something personal and custom the hard work pays off in real money with a ton of margin. Good luck!

awsome man. Glad to see you're getting some business outside of 202P. I'd buy more from you guys, but I get the hookup from my local EB because I know everyone who works there personally. So whenever I go in I get there 10% discount. hehe.

Keep those strangers coming! There are so many awesome games coming out in the future, it seems that I'm going to be dumping a lot of money into TechDiversions until the wife takes my mouse away....
