Was an okay birthday, although the people I hoped would remember, didn't - that kinda sucked... especially when I don't forget theirs... bah.
Anyways, we did go out to a place called Pacific Mall. Man, what a weird place. I guess it engages the chinese/asian part of Toronto. The outlay is weird too... all the shops are completely surrounded by glass. Not wood, or concrete. Just glass. Nice looking ladies there, though. Also had my first "bubble tea" - interesting, to say the least.
Then we headed to the C.N. Tower. I've been in the GTA for almost 10 years and I've never been there before. I figured the elevator ride would take awhile, but it was really quick. Felt like someone was pouring sand in my ears though. I liked the section you were allowed to walk out, and feel the air swirl around you. Didn't try the restaurant, mainly because I figured it'd be way expensive. There also the glass floor section - that was spooky. They literally removed part of the floor, and replaced it with glass [or something resembling glass] You could see all the way down! Vertigo, anyone? The hilarious part was it took about 15 minutes to gather the courage to step out on it. I mean, really! It's insane - if it cracked, I was headed for a long, delayed face plant! I wasn't the only one, either. It was spooking out lots of people. I didn't think I was in any -real- danger, logically, and finally stepped out on it. Man, overriding that self-preservation instinct was kinda cool. I think I'll go again.
Next year.
