So just gonna wing it I guess. Oh wait...nevermind. I got something. ALL THE COOL-ASS GAMES COMING OUT!
The next year and the rest of this year is gonna be a good and bad time for gamers. Good because there will be an amazing amount of games to play. Bad because theres no way in hell to afford all of them. Not even if you donate blood every day at $20 a pop.
So lemme spit a little about each of the titles I'm interested in because of the X06 show.
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
------------------------------------------------
This game looks crazy. Not sure of all of the plot. But the concept of 2 hitmen with different crazy skills intrigues me. The trailer made me almost wish it were for a movie. Definitely gonna keep an eye on this one.
Bioshock
------------------------------------------------
2 words. Holy Shit! This game looks freaking incredible. The trailer was creepy as hell and very visceral. Which I loved. The style of it visually is very appealing to me as well. I almost wish it wasn't a first person shooter.
When I first saw a screenshot for it, I thought that the girl or the suited fiend behind her was the main protagonist. After the trailer I was dead wrong. Although it did sadden me a little, it was a twist I did like. Because now I wonder....who the fuck is that little girl? Why is she so fucking creepy? Who are those huge guys with the drill for arms? Why are they protecting her?
So many questions.
The Darkness

I loved the comic book for the first 30 or so issues. Still have em. So when I heard of a game based on it, I was like...SWEET! 3rd person action! Nope...its an FPS. Which doesnt make much sense to me. I wanna see the Darkness running around in his bad-ass armor, shooting shit and summoning creatures. I dont wanna see through his eyes.
So we shall see about this one. May be a rental.
Lost Oddysey

The trailer was cool. But just CG. So theres no way to really tell if its good or not.
Project Sylpheed

I'm a huge fan of the scrolling shooter genre. Not amazing at them, but I love em. I also love space shooters. So when I saw the trailer for it I about blew a justicy load. Although Square Enix is making it, I will probably give it a go.
Lost Planet

I'm still playing the damn demo! I've been through it at least 20 times. Can't wait for this game to drop.
Gears of War
------------------------------------------------
Derrrrr. Who isn't waiting for this game. Chainsaw bayonet. Thats all you need to know. Fucking CHAINSAW bayonet. best recognize!
Halo Wars

The trailer about brought me to orgasm. But without screenshots I still have to wonder how its gonna look ingame. I'm sure its gonna rock the clit though.
Rock it hard.
Blue Dragon

Looks like it'll be a fun RPG. Not a fan of the DBZ art style much anymore. But I will give it a shot.
Ok. Now for just some other games in general. not necessarily next-gen either.
Final Fantasy XII

I never played XI. Nor will I ever. I've played every other title though. And although I almost despise VII now because of all the media and fanboy crap everywhere, I'm willing to continue on with the FF series. I just kinda hope they end it soon. Maybe with XIII.
Okami
------------------------------------------------
This game just looks fun to play. A very clever and unique visual style as well. Add in Japanese folklore and you've got me interested. And the $39.99 price tag ain't shabby either considering all the $59.99 games coming out soon.
Godhand
------------------------------------------------
Do I have to say why? Ok. Its NOT because I happen to have Godhand in my gamertag. Over the top fighting action. Bitch slapping people, and spanking women on the ass as an attack. Thats just awsome.
Tongue in cheek style humor piled on the over-the-top fighting mechanic. This looks like a good weekend or so of fun.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

The last Mortal Kombat game for this generation. And the end of this franchise. Even though I'm sad to see it end...its good that it is. And from all the features they are packing into it, it looks like its gonna be going out with a bang.
Now I'm anxious to see what they are gonna do with it.
Theres more...but Im tired of typing right now. I'll post more later if I feel like it.
