My fiance and I have been living in our new home for about 3 months now...all of a sudden, I find out it's time for a Housewarming party, which consists of allllll the people she has apparently met in passing from where she was living in her old neighborhood. Now I have absolutely nooo problem at all having some people over to see our new place, I am proud of it and of her for all the thigns she has made me do to it in the last couple of months. Who would have known I knew how to mulch and do stuff with plants....god...I so hate plants. Unfortunately however, it seems we are now having at least 50 people over on Sunday, this includes all of the invited peoples kids and souses and what not. Again, no real problem with the theory of showing off the house and how our combined senses of style have merged into our new abod. BUT GOD DAMN, the house isn't big enough for 50 people...we were going to have things outdoors but its probably going to rain.
On the bright side, if people are literally jammed into our house, hopefully they will LEAVE......
The real reason for my dismay is that this coming weekend is the first weekend I have had off in the last 6-7months, my position at my lab puts me on call when I am not in the office and I have finally trained my new employees to be self sufficient enough to take call for the first time. Ahh I get to relax...but noooo....time for the housewarming.
Wish me luck...I am going to need it.
