Here I am 11 years later, a measly 30 credits shy from being done with my degree and I finally decide to get off my ass and do it. Great…right? Yeah, getting used to being back in “study mode” sucks when you are 32, work 40+ hours a week with 4 kids, a wife and a gaming habit worser (see, told you I am stupid) than a crack addiction.
I AM SO CLOSE I can taste it but damn, every waking moment this last weekend I spent studying pretty much, did not fire the 360 more than once Saturday and Sunday. How is it that I can stay up until the wee hours of the morning (even on work nights) playing online yet I am struggling to do the same studying? I am at the point where I need to schedule myself study hours and gaming hours. Yes that sounds stupid, but I have to game…it is my only hobby really and a major release from daily stress but I also know the importance of finishing college.
If anything my 14 year old is getting a valuable after school special lesson, daddy should have cut down on chasing women, playing sports and drinking./smoking through college and just focused on his studies. Yes it will be worth it all in the end I know, but it sucks right now.
