And all through the print shop,
All the printers were printing,
Even the......aww fuck it.
Not much of a writer of bullshit anyway. Its the day before D*con and theres an ass of things to do. But right now I can't do any of it because I'm stuck at the job waiting on that beautiful little pay stub I get every week. That will go nicely in my pocket for spending cash at the con. Although Im gonna try not to spend too much if I plan on getting that HDTV soon when I get back.
But back to what today holds for the old Gatsu. Gotta change the brake pads on my car. Tried to do it last night but I couldn't get the 2 bolts that hold the brakes on to budge even an inch. And it was thundering & lightning. So I didnt want to add electrocution to the list of injuries I'd sustained thus far just by trying to change the breaks.
Akira came over while I was doing that and we talked about his situation quite a bit. He's debating on whether or not to just say fuckem and go, or to stay and take there shit till he leaves within the next month or so.
If he goes to D*con here is what definitely will happen. They will take his car, leaving him without transportation for school & work. And they will kick him out leaving him with only the things he has purchased. They allready told him he couldn't take anything he didn't buy himself. Which thankfully doesn't include any of his clothes or gaming stuff. So all thats going with him...and his Transformers collectibles. But if he gets kicked out, even if he does come live at my place I cant drive him to work & school everyday. And to top it off, if he doesn't stay in school his loans will kick in and he will have to begin to pay on those instead of getting the 6 month grace period after he graduates.
So he is stuck in a really shitty spot right now. Any choice he makes hes gonna get screwed.
Anyway. I've got stuff to pack for the trip, change the oil and check all the fluids in my car, go get some groceries in a cooler for myself so i don't go out to eat while at the Con. Got a gun I have to paint for my costume and then fit it onto my batman belt. Make sure my boombox has batteries, my camera is charged and ready to go, my mp3 player is packed with good travel tunes and make sure I got enough pairs of underwear. *phew*
Thats alot of shit. Just the painting, oil change and brake pads will take a couple of hours. But hopefully maybe I can leave a little early if I skip lunch so I can get a head start on it all.
