We Don't Need No Stinking Game Review Scores

The 2o2p Content Team is pleased to announce their new game rating system. Just be careful, you might get a little sticky!

Game reviews and how we plan to rate games was one of the hot topics from our first 2o2p Content Team meeting. With a unanimous consensus, we decided that we don’t need scores. What do scores mean, really? If a game is “scored” in the high 70’s, does this mean that it sucks and we shouldn’t buy it? Quite frankly the numbers are useless to most people. Ultimately, gamers want to know if they should buy the game or not. It’s as simple as that.

So here are our shiny and new, Game Rating Stickers!

New

New
This one is a no-brainer. You should buy the game now, even if you have to step on your dog or run over your kids to get it. It’s totally worth the full price and you would get a lot of replay out of it.

PRICE DROP

Price-Drop
This is a great game. It plays well but has minor things that keep it from being a release day  purchase. Keep an eye on it and pick it up once the price drops.

USED

Used
This is not a bad game, but it will only appeal to a small niche. You should buy it if you can find it used or in the bargain bin after a few months.

RENT

Rental
This game is good enough to play briefly but it is not worth a purchase. It may be fun for a time but does not have lasting value.

SKIP

Skip
Don’t play this game, even if someone gives it to you for FREE. If you do, your gaming soul will perish and you will be a shell of your former gaming self. You’ve been warned!

A HUGE thanks goes out to Anotherdae for designing the icons! You will see these soon in our upcoming game reviews!
