For those in the Call of Duty 4 beta, you may have seen the e-mail by now about the level cap. For those that have recently gotten their beta token and are gearing up to play, you'll be getting a bit more coolness...
It occurred today, at 10 am PDT (1 pm EDT) the increase in rank for Call of Duty 4 players will migrate from level 11 to level 16. This is a significant advancement because it will unlock more features in the game, get more testing done and probably uncover more bugs.
You'll get weapons, perks and features including Clan Tags which are available at level 12.
"This is the first of several level increases we're going to do throughout the beta, so keep playing, and we'll keep you informed of incoming updates."
This seems like a great way to roll in new feature sets as you go through the beta test. My guess, we'll see incremental level increases at about the same interval as this latest one. So, in two to three weeks, perhaps the next level advancement will occur.
For the lucky beta testers, this means the game won't get boring by a long shot - just when you think you've mastered all the items you'll get more ways to spec out your profiles.
It almost feels as empowering as the Burning Crusades level cap increase.
