Commodore has risen from the ashes and is making news headlines again.
This year at the CeBIT show in May, Commodore will unveil it’s return to the gaming market with their new Commodore Gaming PC.
Many of us old guys no doubt owned either a Commodore 64 or Amiga PC back in the day some 25 years ago. For a lot of us, this was our first PC and maybe even our first game system.
This year Commodore hopes to regain some of it’s former glory and get their brand back in your house. They have stiff competition though, 25 years ago there weren’t many options, but there are already specialized gaming PC manufacturers such as Alienware and Dell. The competition has a brand that today’s younger consumers know and trust and to many, they’ve probably never even heard of Commodore. They will need a certain amount of wow factor to gain some attention in a crowded market.
Unfortunately Commodore is keeping the details of their machine tight lipped until CeBIT. They’re content right now to just start turning the buzz machine on, get people talking and built up some suspense to the big reveal.
