Cat and Mouse: Halo 2 Customs

Last night, after a long day of Christmas stuff, I logged onto Xbox Live looking to my friends and extended family for some fun and gaming. I was beat, not in the best of moods and really didn't feel like putting too much effort into any game. I first hooked up with Vinny the Deuce and we then joined Moesley and LBSutke and their party. The game of the night: Cat and Mouse. The lazy mans/woman's custom game. When Vinny and I entered my mood immediately began to change. Upon entering we hear the welcoming voices of our friends: "Vinny, Phreak, how ya doin?" A lot of familiar faces in the room: Clutch2, xxFirexx, ll Malice ll, ll Bee ll, Lonewolf1973 and so on. After a quick explanation of the rules the game begins.

Game rules: 2 blue players drive wraiths around Coagulation and try to splatter the red team. With 1 minute remaining the blue team can also fire upon, as well as splatter, the red team.

The red players drive warthogs around the map and avoid the wraiths or walk on foot. They cannot board, shoot or otherwise damage the wraiths. The last players standing from the red team then become the cats (blue team).

Pretty simple.

I chose to be the passenger in the warthogs, which meant I pretty much had to do nothing but ride around with various players and talk smack or clown around. I'm not gonna lie, I tried to get in Moesley's warthog as often as possible because he seems to survive pretty much any attack. In one instance the warthog he was driving actually did a triple flip and landed on the wheels at which point he drove his passengers to safety.

I could go on and on with game details, but it was what I heard during the game and the small details that made it so much fun.

LBStuke giggling throughout the whole game and yelling "LEROY JENKINS". Fire whining because he couldn't drive or even get in a warthog, and then Clutch2 accidentally running him over on more than one occasion. Fire respawning and asking "what the hell". Moesley getting myself and Mrs. Fire (zzFirezz) in his warthog and telling the other, "I got all the ladies in my ride bitches". Vinny coming after me in a wraith saying in a sweet voice "come here honey" and then trying to kill me. Hearing Mushroom Samba say "Ohhh" when he missed a kill and Clutch2 calling me Captain Obvious when he asked me what happened and I told him we were dead. The one-liners and comments were endless and always funny.

I remained a little edgy throughout the night but my mood had improved by leaps and bounds. This is why, every night, night after night, I look forward to signing into Xbox live. At times I feel closer to these guys and most of the people at 2old2play than my immediate family. I am always welcomed with open arms and smartass comments. Family isn't always the people who raised you or people you share DNA with. Each one of the players that I have played with from 2old2play holds a special spot in my heart and they are all part of my family.

For those 2old2players that will be reading this:

Yes I said something nice and sweet, but don't get use to it bitches.
