Is this man picking up/setting down the bomb or is he just holding it for the picture to look like he's carrying it?


Also, did anyone else know they had bombs like this during the Civil War? Or maybe it's just the Sepia color to the pic.

Definately just posing. The right arm is just barely touching it and he couldn't pick it up with just his left. He most likely couldn't pick it up by himself period. Those things are very heavy.
