I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers and glad that Pat was able to update you all.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen! I am indeed alive and living in Elk Grove. I got home late yesterday took a shower and then a nap! Stayed up for all of 2 hours and then went to bed. Not a real exciting day, but still a good one.

I'm really feeling pretty good, even with three holes in my side. Although it was hoped that they would not be needed there are two from the instrument insertion points and one from the chest tube to remove blood and air from the chest cavity. Not very painful at this point, but ugly.

The reason I had to stay so long was that the lung was letting air go into the chest cavity and needed to be sucked out or the lung could collapse. It finally cleared up Thursday morning and then they kept me their for 24 more hours. A small price to pay to be kept safe.

I know this probably more information than you care to hear, but you've known that I'm an old windbag for quite a while now.
