Some Updates

First, I wanted to let everyone know that our nephew, Sean continues to do well with his leukemia. Although the treatment is continuing and is sometimes really hard on him, he keeps his cheerful attitude and can generally do what kids his age normally would do.

My cancer continues to grow even after more surgery last year in March. I had a radiation treatment last week in the form of radioactive iodine (150 mCi) and spent Wednesday night in isolation at the University of Chicago hospital. I get a body scan tomorrow to see where the nasty stuff is. I can't complain, I feel fine, and this has been going on for 17 years now.

One of our granddaughters (14 year old) attempted suicide with tylenol and ibuprofin a couple of weeks ago and could use your prayers and thoughts. She is doing well now after a week of inpatient therapy and some new meds.

On the bright side, I've put on over 1500 miles on my motorcycle since getting it back from the shop in March. Mostly in short rides of 30-60 miles and a few around 100. Still loving it and, of course, being more careful than I was.
