I just kind of think wolfenstein is played out, i've kinda of lost interest in the series, same with DOOM. Both of them were OK on xbox but not great. I think shooters have evolved past what these two old school titles have evolved to provide.\r \r

The L4D content bridges the story between 1 and 2 and it'll get people amped for L4D2 who still have it but haven't played it in a while due to no new content. I don't have it anymore so i won't be buying the content. Actually i'm not even sure i'm going to get L4D2 on launch or not, leaning more towards Assassins Creed 2 now which releases the same day.\r \r I feel the same amount Batman. It's single player only so i can play i when the price comes down.

Corbin, maybe you haven't heard but Microsoft just dropped including the HD cable kit with the Elite. It was extra in the other SKUs but the Elite at least came with it, for your hundred bucks extra you got the $50 cable kit and the 120gb hdd so it was a decent deal. But now, no cable kit.\r \r So microsoft is just as bad as sony now.

The headline on the ps3 slim is wrong. No power brick and you can still upgrade your own hdd. The door is in the front as opposed to the door on the side of the phats.

I'm nto sure why it Last.FM wouldn't work while you're playing single player games, but multiplayer games i can totally see. Any background downloads and stuff get shut off when you play MP to reduce lag problems.\r \r I can't really see myself using last.fm anyway, i'm somewhat energy conscious and if i have to turn my am on anyway, i can play the radio. Doesn't make sense to me to burn another 250 watts / hour to run the xbox for radio.\r \r

Release date for Fallout is 'fall' I'm guessing it's going to land in the Oct/Nov timeframe.\r \r Gamestop currently shows it as 10/1 but there's been no official release date announced so take that with a grain of salt

The Crysis 3D on Xbos confuses me. The article doesn't explicitly say it will be on the xbox, just assumed since it is on an Xbox site. However, I heard Microsoft has no plans on supporting 3D at the moment.

I'm so in on Guardian of Light.\r \r As for the Gamestop b2g1, I'm not sure I can think of three used games to pick up.

I bit on the RE5 DLC. Good game, but I haven't been back in ages, as my co-op buddy got rid of it. DR2 was okay, but in the end, yeah, it's a demo. Seems like leveling up takes forever in it.

I can't play RE5, i don't 'get' the gameplay mechanics and can't get over not being able to move while aiming. I just don't understand HOW to play RE games but I do really like the lore and really enjoy the movies. Just can't stand the game. I wish an american company would buy the rights and produce something that plays better, or i wish they'd recruit a few american designers and Americanize it so it 'works' like we expect it to.\r \r I played the demo of DR2 CZ and thought it was ok, it's very slow paced i thought, still tied to the clock so you're always under a time pressure rather than being able to just enjoy the game. I think i'm gonna pass on it.\r \r \r \r \r

That homefront debacle was long in the making. I kept out of the discussion prior mostly because one could see that coming from miles away. First off, the game is too american. I'm not an american-hater, but America is not much of a market outside of America these days. Then, you pay to play 360 games online with your friends, then you pay to play this this game. Cost upon cost also doesn't make for a convincing salespitch. Short SP with uninteresting story and problems... MP plagued by servers that crap out... Flat out fail. When I heard the devs talking about it during the New York Xbox event, I already knew the game was a dead fish. But I already knew most of you guys on here would point to my negativism first thing...\r \r Torchlight... as expected I think. Diablo-devs making a diablo-clone... Slamdunk comes to mind.\r \r But overall... TDU2, Dragon Age 2, Homefront... We're off a very bad start this year.\r \r Yes, DA2 is fail too. Random freezes, quests that can't be finished, collectibles that can't be picked up or don't spawn anywhere, extremely limited maps you visit time and time again, fight one battle and you have fought them all, one dimensional cast, a plot-twist that can be spotted on the west-coast while standing on the east-coast, simplified costumization of the party and main toon, broken achievements, lag, load-freezes, lore-inconcistencies. Nicer graphics. The graphics are nice. Yep.\r \r

I wouldn't call Homefront story uninteresting, the SP storyline is one of the things that drew me to it to begin with. I think the atmosphere and story telling is acceptable. It's a shooter afterall not an RPG so the story telling isn't ever going to be great in a shooter.\r \r Multiplayer is an outright failure though. I don't buy the excuse that they didn't know the demand when a month earlier they were all happy announcing Homefront broke pre-order sales records for them.\r \r But that being said even EA/Dice launching bad company 2 failed as well and they have history in the dedicated server hosting thing which Kaos/THQ don't. So if the big boys fail, really what chance did THQ have?\r \r

I don't think THQ stood a real chance. Though I can only speak from what I've read on the various boards.\r \r With FPS' the trend is that many people like them anyway, no matter how flawed the entire package actually is, but the boards for this game have more this \"A small group of defenders are calling the large group of put off people trolls\" vibe to them. =))\r \r And of course, there's no accounting for personal likes and dislikes. I'm most certainly known for playing games everybody else was shying away from...\r \r I wonder which IP THQ will sacrifice with a rush-release to recoup the loss?

I already did drop cable in favor of Netflix and I download TV shows from BitTorrent sites. Hulu Plus has a fee with it but they have most broadcast TV shows a day or so delayed from the broadcast. The free hulu only has the last 4 shows i believe the Plus has the entire season. You can see what the selection is like just by going to hulu.com\r \r

I'm going to cancel my cable too. What sucks though is that they charge to come get the cable box... WTF. Oh well, 7.99/ month for hulu and 59.99/year for XBL.

Techland really came through towards fans of the game. Many patch-items were addressed that made me go \"hmmmm\". Seeing as Purna is my fav character, her getting 50% more ammo, coupled with her +% ammo-perks, will just make her more powerful.\r \r A bit of a shame Techland only manages to bring it out one day before Skyrim. It's too late for many people who have tossed the game aside weeks ago.
