While you guys were off LANing

I put my abscense to excellent use.  I applied for the IT director job of a startup company here.  The first 6 months the directors are just working for equity while the CEO and CFO do the funding rounds.  Then there's a bonus at the end when we roll over to salaried.    I didn't really know about that part but i thought it would be great to get in on the ground floor of a company.  Since the last 3 companies i've worked for have been failures, maybe if i'm implanted in the leadership team i can contribute to the success of the company and it won't go under :lol:

Anyway Saturday was the interviews for the people who's apps they were interested in seeing.  So while you guys were all hung over from Friday night I was up early Saturday morning heading to the interview.  Long story short, i nailed it.  So I have a call back to interview with the ceo this week and so i'm expecting by friday i should know if i'm employeed again.  I'm pretty excited about the startup thing , getting to build everything from scratch and really put to use my decade+ of experience.  I'm also excited to be atop the ladder, the only person i'll be answering to is the ceo so it'll be a different experience and a whole lot more responsibility to deal with but something i'm looking forward to.

So i guess monday i'll start prepping myself for the interview.  I'll look at questions on the interent and compose answers based on what i know of the companies direction.  So i'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I'm ready to go back to work, although getting to play 8 hours a day of video games has been fun and certainly improved my gamerscore, i can't pay my bills with that unfortuniatly :lol:  But man would i love to convert 75k in gamerscore to dollars!  :)
