If there has been one game all these years that I felt that I really missed out on was World in Conflict. I grew up playing RTS games like Command and Conquer and Rise of Nations. Loved them. But this game is really on a league of ti's own. I can't wait till it comes out next year.

Mirrors Edge is an amazing game. I played the demo about 20+ times and this is the only game that actually had me remove my GOW2 disk from the tray!

The mirrors edge demo was good but being single player only it can wait till the spring when I'm looking for something new to play. In the mean time I have Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead to keep me warm all winter.

i actually think the failure is much higher then 54%, they only polled x amount of people. id be very interested to see how many xbox 360's have been sold and how many have red ringed. ms has to have those numbers since they are fixing them.\r im willing to bet its around the 80% range or higher. both my box's have red ringed an elite and an arcade unit. one i bought on launch one i bought only 7 months ago. \r \r the problem is xbox live is so good people are willing to deal with the red rings, think about how crazy that sounds. \r \r

I'm conflicted on if the same xbox being sent back multiple times should count for one than one failure. Since it's the same faulty design continuing to fail over and over again. ANd if you only count the first repair, i'd be curious what the % of failure rate is.

as far as arkham asylum goes, i made the mistake of buying the xbox version. granted, i didn't have the ps3 yet but i knew i was gonna get it. i should have waited cuz i doubt the 360 will ever get the joker challenges.

I was completely addicted to Bubble Bobble on the NES back in the day. I remember playing with friends for weeks to face Super Drunk and get to the \"True End.\" I wonder what this version will have in store.

@Tank - The Joker plays *COMPLETELY* different from Batman in the challenges. While they are essentially the same (fight waves of guards or take out a few unseen), the differences in how they do it is extreme. \r \r I'm psyched for the DLC, as I'm at 98% complete on the game to date. Two more challenge maps and the Hard playthrough and I'll have my first Platnium.

The espn streams would be cool to me if they delivered something better than I can get over cable/satellite. Such as what Joke said, xbox live party support. Then you could have virtual superbowl parties and stuff.\r \r The service is going to cost something though. And i may be willing to pay per event like for a superbowl or world series or somethign like that but I wouldn't pay a monthly for it.

I like the gears universe and lore, i'm just not real happy with what epic's done so far with the games. G1 was good but G2 lost a lot of what G1 had both in single player and multiplayer. So i'm conflicted about G3.\r \r

After playing Gears2 Multiplayer for over a year now. I have to say that it is way better than Gears1. So I have hope for Gears3!

I would say that EA is trying to \"shit on\" videogame stores more than consumers. They are attempting to slow the retail trade-in aftermarket. Gamestop gives you like $7-10 worth of store credit for your used game, then marks it up 400% to sell it used. \r \r I know that $5 is $5, but that is generally the cost difference between buying new and used (within a reasonable timeframe).\r \r I am fairly selective about which games I buy and play. Therefore my videogame budget and library are fairly small. But the games I do play are worth it to me to buy new. So this doesn't really affect me that much.

True enough. Gamestop alone made $2billion off of used game sales last year. That's one helluva of a lot of $$$s the game developers aren't seeing and it likely irks them something fierce.

The way I see it, Rock Band 3's sales may be low because there was nothing inherently wrong with Rock Band 2. Music games aren't like Madden, where a couple tweaks and a roster update will ignite the masses. They want to play some fun tunes when friends are over, or kick back and have some fun on their own. \r \r The keytar peripheral is a gimmick. Yes, it's fun and all, but it's not \"necessary\". Bring that value proposition to a casual gamer who likes to mess around with their friends - it will be (and has been) ignored.\r \r Dude says the marketplace is demanding something new. I reject this. The marketplace is saying \"hey, I like what I've got\". \r \r Introduce a tiered digital subscription model (akin to Rhapsody and the like) and watch the cash roll in.

I think they just flooded the marketplace wtih those music games and the public is like.... what i've got is good enough i don't need an annual release of this type of game.

The game industry at large isn't really looking forward to an even higher end platform to develop on. I think right now we're at a peak, at $60 a title plus DLC and other 'playpass' type schemes, everyone can make money. But you amp up all the requirements again and it'll be hard to make a game that utilizes the new hardware that isn't going to cost the consumer $90-$100 for the 'regular' editions. One way to cut some of that price is to go digital distribution only and cut out the manufacturing costs but the gaming consumer isn't willing to do that at this point especially if it's only going to save $5 off the title or something insignificant like that.\r \r

True there, gaming is too costly and I think that Epic guy is right... there are no middleclass games anymore.\r \r The games themselves are in a downward direction. For innovation we look at high-IPs but realistically, we can choose between FPS or adventure/sandbox/exploration. That's it.\r \r Just look at the Kinect. Dance/fitness/sports. Awesome tech used for, uhm, nothing at all. I wonder how many people already regret having bought it, but still come up with excuses to defend the purchase because the item is as expensive as a Falcon2 Arcade box?\r \r I think that a new console is not wise, but if you consider that developing a new one will prolly take 3 years... a lot of things can happen in 3 years. But right now I don't see anything world-altering being in the making games-wise that will take gaming in such a new direction that a new console will have a right of being.\r \r So, my guess is that even in 3 years, it'll be a question of pricing and the community's willingness to part with a large amount of cash. This is the pittfall for Microsoft, IMO

I'm interested in seeing what the excellent lineup for Kinect is going to be in 2011. So far, Child of Eden is the only game that is wowing me. Star Wars Kinect is a must buy, but only because it has the Star Wars license. After those, I don't even know of any upcoming games, aside from Carnival Games.

I'm still waiting for something to justify shelling out 149.99 to play, nothing announced in 2011 has be interested at all. Even that star wars one they demoed at E3 last year is on rails and looked totally stupid. Hopefully they did something more with it in the year it's been in development.\r \r At this point the only thing I think is going to make me want to shell out 149.99 for a kinect is a price drop to 99.99 .

I'm really, really, REALLY worried about Mass Effect. We've seen what EA has done to Bioware already, and forcing multiplayer on a game that does not need it seems ridiculous.\r \r I may rent just to finish the story, but I have this sinking feeling that ME is now Dragon Age to me. In other words, dead.

I feel like Ubi did the same thing with assassins. Gave us a half assed title last year with multiplayer bolted rather than making a truly epic singe player game like the previous ones had been.

no surprise cod stays at the top of the list. you can not release a game earlier than a proven fps giant and have connection issues and glitches galore and expect people to buy it over its competition. releasing earlier was a big gamble that didn't pay off....but hell, they still made a bundle.
