No news today to post because i'm @ home without all my links .  But this does bring me to the topic of my blog.  With all the shit that's been going on at work i managed to get one positive.

I happened to mention that I can't get my real job done because i have to do too much hand holding support in the office which was someone else's job until they fired that person.  So their job takes 90% of my day which leaves me 10% of my day to do my job.  F'n weak and i HATE support.  Anyway i mentioned to my boss that I need to work from home twice a week to get my job done.

To my surprise he agreed, he said if I think that i'll be more productive then I can start with one day a week, so i picked 'hump day' , Wednesday.  Though today is my trial day, need to figure out what i can/can't get access to remote and make adjustments were needed.

So working one day a week from home will save me ~$500 a year in commuting and give me a break from all the f'n whining at work.  So i'm a happy camper, hopefully i can get it expanded to two days a week.

Now that i'm off today to 'work' from home...... i wonder which game i should crack the seal on?  Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon :)

which Rainbow? Vegas? Its a great game, but not as atmospheric IMO as Ghost Recon.....play em both dude!!

One of my co-workers works from home to get stuff done as well. Not in IT, but he's the go to guy for way to many projects (that he shouldn't have, such as mine).\r \r So too many people visit his office day to day, so working from home allows him to pick and choose which emails to answer :)

I can relate to your co-worker Code! That's exactly how it is for me. I'm not a help desk person but i'm the only one to come ask for stuff. So I end up doing that for 6 hours a day most days and it's not even my job!

You lucky SOB!\r I hate you.\r \r I wish I could work from home a day or two a week, I'd also get more done without the constant distractions!

Congrats on your new telecommute. Go for GRAW 2 It rocks ! I hope your boss doesnt have an XBL accout or you will be back to driving to work on hump day.\r
