I had my guitar done yesterday. So I went to apply my clearcoat to seal it and apparently the clearcoat and the Fusion spraypaint don't like each other! It started to bubble the paint and wrinkle it. So consequently I spent about three hours stripping it back down to it's original white. That was much harder than painting it in the first place. So now I had to recoat it in the Fusion and wait for it to dry. I did find out that this Fusion spraypaint is a lot weaker to solvents than regular spraypaint.

I actually posted late Friday night, but since I told you guys I would post pictures early this week I figured I'd just bump my blog.

Woo Hoo! I actually squeezed a little over an hour to sneak out to the garage to paint my guitar while all the girls were watching a movie. Warning fresh paint! I couldn't wait to post these pics. I still need to blend the flames a little but I think it is turning out pretty good.

My daughter just turned ten this week! How time flies! Anyway she is having a sleepover with 7 or 8 girls tonite until tomorrow around noon and then I have a party to go to Sat. night. So I might not get a chance to paint the flames on my guitar until Sun. I am itching to get this next step done. Oh well! such is the life of a responsible adult!

Man, waiting for paint to dry is no fun! I'm itching to put the next step on my guitar. I've got my flame stencil printed out and ready to go to town with the red paint. At least I can use a normal paint for the second coat then I won't have to wait so long for the next step!

I finally got around to taking some pics of my guitar transformation. This is just the first step but I thought some of you might be interested. The one of the guts is pretty interesting. The color of blue is a little off, trust me it looks better in person!
