One of the coolest characters of all time?

I think so.

I got around to watching the movie Kick-Ass this weekend. It wasn't anything like I expected. I thought this would be some sort of coming of age story of a wanna be super hero in a world where super heroes do not exist. I was part right. What I didnt expect was for this movie to bloody bloody and more bloody. I hadn't even realized it was rated R until I actually started watching it.

The point of this blog though is not about the movie itself, but rather one of the main characters. Hit Girl is a 10 year old prodigy of a former new york city cop who is trained since the age of 5 to do one thing: Destroy and maim baddies. She slices, she dices (sounds like Shamwow hooker puncher schpeal) she flips and kicks the SHIT out of everyone. Legs? cut off, forehead? bullet through the back of the head. It's just relentless! The action scenes are well executed and the actress honestly steals the show.

Did I mention she has a mouth of a sailor? First line as Hit Girl as she is in a room full of drug dealers "Let's go you fucking c*nts". I mean, really???

I started reading the comic book (as I had no idea it was a comic book) and the movie stays true to the comics in most ways. I highly recommend this movie to any action movie buff, comic movie buff, or dark screenplay buffs.

Please note - I also wanted to make sure people who may be renting this next month to know it IS NOT FOR KIDS whatsoever.
