Issue #2: to be released early due to E3

Ok, last night was rough.  It came to my attention that not only is E3 coming up faster then imagined (like the first day being the day the magazine is supposed to launch), but our site admin doodirock will be out on the road (as per his podcast chat).

What this means to 2o2p Magazine is that this issue is fighting a very nasty current of activity of which we shall call "E3."  Releasing upon doodis arrival will be "too late" and many will ask "why isnt E3 covered?" so rather then releasing stale data Ive cut back some of the content and pushed it to issue #3 so that the layout & design team can get this sucker ready for next Friday.

Does that mean the magazine will be any less?  Not really, its going to end up with content well beyond what was found in Issue #1... just not as much as I had hoped and planned for :-)  This means a few of us will be cranking through the weekend preparing content and graphic layouts for the start of next week.  So when you see the release please remember the hard work and pressure I put on some people to get this stuff ready early.  We lost 3 days which is costly when your only working part-time as a side project.

If your article was shifted to issue #3, I apologies (and will notify you via email) for any rushes I might have put you in to get it into issue #2 and THEN swap to three.  It was a last minute thing, but your contribution will be seen in the next issue.  Ive already got an estimated 30 pages of content for issue #3.

Also, moved the "game room photos" to issue #3 where we have more room to show off your cool stuff :)

Hey Code, are you planning on changing up the theme of #3? I would expect that since Doodi and others are going to E3 that issue #3 will cover E3. Theres probably enough at E3 to fill a whole issue itself.\r \r

No, not at this point. None of the guys that are going are modivated to write :) So Im not sure how much content well get compared to just raw video streams.\r \r If it turns out that there is enough content then Ill either do a splintered light weight magazine that focuses on E3, a full blown E3 issue if we have a ton of content, or just stick with the current History of Computers plan and include some E3 stuff if availabe. I would imagine the news section will be pretty hot that month though.\r \r CodeMonkey

Monkey,\r Does this effect any of the illustrations im working on? The Gamer profile is almost complete as is the Zelda. The Galactic Civ is about half done. I havent started the Halo Moment strip yet but that should only take me a few hours since its screen shots and type. Let me know.\r BAT

Hey Code, I have some time Saturday afternoon ( a couple hours). If I can do anything to help, within those timeframes, let me know.
