Further word

Saw the surgeon today and he is optimistic. Doesn't know the full extent of what will be needed until he operates. Could be arthroscopically or with a larger incision (but still only about 6-8") and could even mean removing the lobe of the lung. It is right by the major arteries and veins between the heart and lungs. Can't even tell if the tumor is in the lung or just outside.

Won't be able to do the surgery until around March so I'll have plenty of time to fret. If done arthroscopically, would go home the same day! Otherwise 1-2 days only in the hospital. Obviously won't know how long I won't be riding the motorcycle afterward until the surgery is done. Spring time and not able to ride. That stinks!
