I can't stop smiling

The movie this clip is from is called Apoorva Sahodarargal, its a Tamil movie (Southern-most state in India). The movie came out in the '80s... Movies of this caliber are par for course for Tamil movies back in the day- sad to say. Tha guy just can't stop smiling... Suffice to say, Tamil movies these days are nothing like this- more at the level of Bollywood cinema.

Anyway, this clip seems like a mix of Bollywood and the 80's movie breakin. I couldn't stop laughing the first time I watched it.

Frank Millers 300

Has anyone else seen this yet? This is the trailer for the movie "300" which is based off another of Frank Millers graphic novels. I loved Sin City and cannot wait for his next movie. This trailer is a leak and has been taken down at a few other sites already so I hope Google keeps it up. Can't wait for the real version in glorious quicktime.

Apple fanboy

I'll admit it, I am an Apple fanboy. About the only thing I like from Microsoft is my Xbox 360. As soon as I got home from work yesterday I fired up the Macbook and watched the keynote address. New Ipods, new version of itunes, and games and movies available for download.....if you live in the USA. Hopefully us Canuks will have access to the movies next year.

To start off with, here is the new Ipod nano ad.

NHL 07 - finally a decent EA sports game

I downloaded the NHL 07 shootout demo yesterday. I wasn't expecting much since the Madden 07 demo blew monkey chunks. I had a chance to play the full version of Madden and was left very uninpressed with the game. Just goes to show that competition makes everything better. However EA still has competition with their NHL franchise from the 2K7 camp. I'm still in the process of downloading the demo for that game so I'll post impressions later.

Rest in peace mate

I lived in Australia for two years and fell in love with the country and the people. I was shocked when I heard of Steve Irwins death this morning before leaving for work. He was a trieless advocate for wildlife conservation and donated most of his money towards that cause. At least he died doing what he loved. Here is some footage from Australian TV that tells us a bit about his life and legacy.

Chad Vader - day shift manager

If you haven't seen these yet you owe it to yourself to check them out. There are 3 episodes so far. The story follows Chad Vader, a long lost brother of Darth Vader. He's a Sith lord who happens to be a manager at a grocery store. I don't want to give too much away if you haven't seen it. I've posted all three episodes here for your enjoyment. The best part is when he addresses his boss.

my baby is back!

I really didn't think I was going to make it. My poor Macbook was in the repair depot for almost 3 weeks! I was so worried about her. But now she'sback and better than ever. I was forced to use the desktop PC in her absense. Here's a little welcome home video for my Macbook.

360 camera out early for some

I was playing a round of UNO today when I noticed one of the players was using a WEBCAM!!! I wish I would have taken a picture. I was wondering how the heck he got a 360 camera since they haven't been released yet. Then I read this:
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/20/toys-r-us-jumps-the-gun-on-xbox-360-ca...

It appears that a few Toys R Us stores jumped the gun and sold a few of these. I wish I could have picked one up.
