We had a nice eclipse here, yesterday.  Here in San Diego, we didn’t get to see a full ring.  I hear that was reserved for those farther up in California.  Still, it was neat to see my son show amazement as the Moon made the sun go from full circle, to “C”, and then to “U”.  We didn’t have welder’s mask, so we improvised by laying multiple sheets of tinted glass from office and car windows until we could see without any problems.  No end of the world, no zombies.  Guess it is back to unemployment again today.  More resumes to send out and a computer technical school to get set up in for a b

Been a long while since I last visited the site.  Kinda busy with being unemployed.  Taking and teaching MS certification classes.  Rather complicated.  Now it feels like summer and the news around town is of the death of Junior Seau.  Rather sad that someone who has a lot going for them chose to end his life that way.  Oh well.  At least the foundation he left behind still helps the local communities.  Currently bouncing between many old and new games.  Prestige’d in MW3 today.  Still carrying a KTD ratio of less than 1.  Yeah, that bad.  Not badass, jut bad.  Still, my kills are fair and

Happy late New Year (kinda late, I know). A new year to get my game on, and to be killed many times in multiplayer. Reinstalled my computer at the new year. Nothing like a clean vintage Windows XP SP1. Boots up and runs faster than the other PCs in the house. A nice unit named Aki. She is going to be 11 years old in a couple months. Took some time to get all her programs reinstalled and running like herself again. To think I just put her together just after my son was born. She has grown over the years. From a 1.2GHz P4, 5GB HD, 512 MB PC2100 to a 2.8GHz P4, 200GB HD, 2GB PC2700.

Merry Christmas everyone.  A good morning today as my son and I see all the gifts we got.  I got new socks, comfy slippers, and Modern Warfare 3.  Yay!  He got a couple board games, a hoodie jacket, and an auto-fire Nerf gun. All around, a good Christmas.  The year is drawing to an end.  Time to plan for next weekend.  Guess that can wait until after I play a bit of MW3.  Hope you all have a good day today.  Enjoy what you can.

Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll.  Enjoy what you can today.  I know I will be getting my fill of turkey and mashed potatoes.  Hopefully I don’t fall in too deep a turkey coma to get a few games in today.  Nothing like zombie killing after the turkey devastation.  Also, maybe get around to getting that Extra-Life montage video up.  Maybe.  Anyway, off to start boiling potatoes and packing food to take over to the family gathering.  Have a happy turkey day.

The donations are in.  Tomorrow is the day.  Be it terrorist, zombie, mecha, or Painkiller on Rockband, they will all fall to help the children.

October. Halloween everybody. I was never one for dressing up, but I have always liked Halloween. Everyone just seems casual or more open and excited. Also, more horror movies show on regular cable. Time to rip out Left 4 Dead, COD Zombies, Undead Nightmare, Dead Space, FEAR, and Silent Hill. Been a while since I played a few of them, but this is the time to get in that mood. Yeah, can’t forget about the candy. I make sure one bag of candy is reserved for my son and me, rather than hand out to the trick-or-treaters. Now, to think what kind it will be this year.

Nothing much to post this month.  Another month of gaming.  Still hanging on Reach with friends made off the site.  Since joining 2o2p I have been slowly working my way from single player, to co-op, and on the edge to going full multiplayer (with friends of course).  I must say though, even during a team slayer match on Reach, I am usually in party chat with friends and joke about the internet or the 80’s most of the game.  Probably why my kills are a bit low.

Feels good to once again have electricity. Here in SoCal, brownouts are a regular thing during heatwaves as everyone runs their ACs. It took a listen on the radio to realise how vast this power outage was. I am sure there are a few who went wild and said it was a terrorist act or a coming zombie apocalypse. Hell, I would agree sooner to the later. Went around last night making sure seniors have flashlights and are taken care of. It was a pain that during the afternoon hours after the power went out, everyone was on the roads heading home.

The summer has come and gone.  Time to get my son ready for school.  The first day of middle school.  He is going to attend the same middle school I did.  Man, time runs away with you sometimes.  Seeing him all excited as the days count down.  I miss those days of little worries, cartoons, and music on MTV.  Still, I don't think I would pass on the 360, internet, and booze.
