Changing My Name

So I've been thinking about changing my name now that I'm more familar with the gaming community. I've always played games, but this is the first experience I've had with online gaming.


So everytime I try to pick something I get kind of emotional about losing my original name, but I'd like something more creative. I like the nickname I've gotten from YesImaGirl25 (YIG), and truly the nickname is the only attachement I have to the name. It'd be cool if I could find something different that could still incorporate YIG, but I don't see that happening.


Words I've thought about incorporating (only because I like the way they sound):


Lusty - meaning tough
Alluring - meaning attractive
Divine
Delicate
Dazzling
monarch - meaning boss
Aurora - ancient Roman goddess of dawn


So if you've got an opinion about what I could make my name, or leave it, let me hear it. I'm really looking for some suggestions and ideas to help get the juices flowing.

Use YIG as part of the name. Aurora_YIG25 or just xxYIG25xx. Maybe even YIGGY25? Whatever you do keep the 25 or some other number because only the cool people have random numbers in their GT's. ;)

Aurora is pretty good. Although I do like DreadPirate75's suggestion of CrownJules a lot also.

While a creative gamer tag can be fun, it's what your friends call you that matters. If you changed your tag, wouldn't your friends likely still call you YIG?\r \r While I am sjam613, my nickname has become jammer (among other things my clanmates call me)

If you're talking about an Xbox Live Gamertag Name, chances are things like 'lusty' are taken.\r \r I would recommend you keep some part of your current tag in your new one. That way people know who you are when they're looking through their lists.\r \r Try YIG25 or YIG_25 or something. Not creative but it keeps your identity

CnC had a really good point...be very carefull what you choose...unless you do not care what the \"timmies\" will run with when they see your name...\r \r Aurora was cool, that one gets my vote.

I say keep your original name.\r It is what came to mind when you made it up, and usually the first idea is the best.\r Funny I always call you Girl.\r And I have heard others call you Yesima, never heard Yig

Stay with YIG, its great, YIG is part of the 2o2p family, yesimagirl sounded funny, and lusty sounds like an advertisement.\r \r I changed my name from PoltegIce to Astral shambler because I thought my name said things about me that weren't who I am and in choosing Astral Shambler i was paying tribute to a great writer. Astral Shambler is more me then Polteg Ice. Some friends still call me Polteg and thats cool, I always know who they are talking to. :)

I love your original name, but you are the one that has to live with it. Best of luck finding somethin that suits you. And anything with Lusty will get you a lot of attention, not in a good way, think about wether you want that attention.

Avril makes a VERY good point about the lusty thing. I really appreciate all of the feedback I got. It seems like the overall concise is to keep my original gamertag. I'll have to sleep on this one for awhile.

All this time I thought your name was Yesima LOL! But anyway, Yig is nice and original. Maybe do Yiggy or Yiggles or something like that. I kind of like Yiggles.
