For years sex (and the events leading up to the act) have been associated with baseball. The whole "getting to first base"" or "scoring" thing has been in use for a very long time, and it's a tired comparison to a sport that has over the years lost some of its magic. To be honest, I learned about the bases as early as middle school (though I was a naive youngster that would have loved to get a base hit, not knowing that others my age were hitting doubles or better somewhat regularly, a fact that still disturbs me to this day), but never really talked about the reference myself.

Well, a while back I declared that I would join Mike James on the quest to lose some weight. As it turns out, I didn't really do a whole lot to start trying to lose weight. I blame the separation that I'm going through for a lot of things, but this laziness and eating out of boredom will have to be pinned to something else entirely, a deeply rooted evil: my grandmother.

I was visiting an electronics store tonight, and I saw that the price on WoW dropped to $19.99. If I wasn't playing right this minute I'd charge out the door and buy a copy. If you have given it thought, now might be the time.  Our guild just added Ventrilo too...  You know you want it.

Yesterday my wife had to put down one of our cats.  While it has been expected for a while, it's still a terribly sad event to go through, and I wasn't even there for it.  Even when you know it's coming, it's still hard to swallow when it happens, and it hit me a little harder than I expected it too.  I thought distance might numb things a bit.  I know with the divorce and a house up for sale, my wife has plenty of other things to worry about, and this is the last thing she needed.  She'd had the cat (named Feety) since 1992.  I only wish I could be closer to offer my support, as I know how di

Prediction: Today's tragic shooting will somehow be blamed on video games.  I'm not sure how they'll do it, but the gaming industry has to take the fall for this.  There's no word on if the shooter was Amish or not, so that might be Jack Johnson's in.  Rockstar, get your lawyers ready.  GTA is the Devil.

So many damn cool things to do, and so little time.

My days have been broken down into time spent at two jobs, time getting ready for either job, and time online when I get home. Then I sleep, rinse and repeat. My weekends are the days that I don't work one of the 2 jobs. There isn't much time for Ag in my day, and I could use a winning lottery ticket to sort some things out. Today I was on a lunch break at a local restaurant in a local shopping area. It's not a completely upity area, but not entirely blue collar either. Here's the thing I noticed today while eating: Women dress up to go shopping.

As I'm gathering up my courage to enter the dating world again, an old saying comes to mind: "Don't judge a book by its cover."

As far as first impressions go, we're generally attracted to someone by their appearance.  Sometimes it's their smile.  Other times it's their eyes.  For guys, it's also a woman's boobs, legs and/or buttocks.  To be honest, I don't know what else women look at.  A guy's teeth?  I think a lot of them look at his shoes.  Perhaps how he's dressed.  I'm curious what you ladies out there check out, so feel free to post and share the wisdom. ;)

A recent article from 2o2p's own JTGJR007 was on the front page of 2o2p a while back and it made me reflect on the purpose of the video game rating system. To dumb it down a bit, the ESRB is doing for games what the MPAA does for movies.
