My favorite game. And day.

Screw relevance, today is my favorite day and that song just popped into my head. Somewhere in my 7 1/4" cranium is a bizarre Rorschach test filled with NCAA Tournament brackets. Yeah...something like that anyway.

At any rate, how can you not love today? The first day of March Madness. 16 games of delicious college hoops, followed up by beers, heartburn, gambling losses and the sweet promise of doing it all again tomorrow. And Saturday. And Sunday. And again next week!

I debated completing one of the many brackets I'm in this year by sim-ing a season in NCAA College Hoops 2k6. Except for the fact that it's 2k6 and a year old, I thought it might be worth a shot. That is until I saw 1up.com did the same thing, using 2k7, and the results were wickedly wicked. Somehow, I don't really expect New Mexico St. to be in the title game. Probably because I left some sort of curse there when I lived with some college kids during a 4 month long field assignment. Ah, good times.

At any rate, 1up probably didn't realize the genius that is using a year old game to simulate the NCAA tourney, then again I bailed and didn't do it either. So I just went with my gut (i.e. late night sleepy headed close your eyes and pick one), which has never steered me astray...from the buffet table.

All kidding aside, today is great and what's even better is my 12pm date with the bar and 5 tv screens. Viva la Madness!
