Oxytocin is a hip-hop/electronica/geek core ensemble that is made up of various employees from Harmonix (yes, THAT Harmonix). I went to their cd release party, which was held at the Middlesex in Cambridge, with little expectations and was simply blown away by thier show. Combining a diverse mix of Hip Hop, electronic samples, classical cello music, the mesmerizing vocals of Nay and even tunes played on a SNES Controller (something that you have to see to fully appreciate), Oxytocin created a true wall of sound set against a backdrop of impromtu visuals captured on-site and projected onto a large video screen behind the band (a term that is completely lacking in this context). All I can say is go to their web site - www.oxytocinmusic.com and download their new album now. It is free, so you have absolutely no excuse not to check them out. Get a dose of Oxytocin now, while you can. Cause nothing this good stays free for long.
